WHAT IS SPLINE?

WHAT IS SPLINE WHEN DEALING WITH SCREEN ENCLOSURES?
Spline is what holds the screen in place. This is a very important part of the process without the proper spline the panels will fall right out with the next big storm. There are 2 types of spline- round or flat. Older enclosures will consist of round and newer enclosures will have flat. The round spline groove is a .220 size which is why we never use .220, we will use .230 for the sides and .235 for the roof to ensure the panels stay in place. That going up in size by at least one size even 2 sizes for the roof. Flat spline will not come out like round if rolled properly.
